The Greater Chicago Food Depository

Donor Initiative Campaign

This project was deeply personal to me. As a Chicago native and someone with a long history in service, long before I found my path in advertising, being able to merge my creative talents with a cause greater than myself—for my city, for my community—was truly rewarding.

As the art director, I had the privilege of brainstorming and collaborating with my team to create something truly special. What began as an ambitious challenge quickly transformed into a campaign that felt nothing short of magical. We used the inspiring history of Chicago—the city that reversed its river, rebuilt after the Great Fire, and persevered through countless challenges—as the backbone of our messaging.

Chicagoans are known for their grit and ambition, and our goal was to show them that beating hunger, much like the city’s past feats, is not impossible. We created bold, direct messaging that encouraged everyday actions, demonstrating how, when multiplied, those small steps can lead to powerful, lasting change.

By tapping into the collective pride and courage that defines this city, we aimed to inspire every Chicagoan to take responsibility and be part of the solution. It was an honor to combine my creative expertise and passion for service to help my hometown thrive.
